Preview: Just a touch

Been in a bit of a slump the last few weeks, but with a firm reminder that it’s better to write where I’ll enjoy it than to try and force myself to write what just doesn’t feel right right now, I’m crawling out of it again. Today, I got a decent chunk put in on that new eBook I mentioned and previewed before, and I’m feeling fairly proud of that, so I thought I’d give another preview. Still feels strange writing a story knowing it won’t be “free” from the start xP But I suppose that’s something I should get used to sooner or later, haha.

If you didn’t notice the tag, the following is very much NSFW! Do not read if you are under 18, uninterested in graphic descriptions of adult content involving anthropomorphic animals, or in a place where people are liable to peek over your shoulder and judge you for your questionable taste in blogs! All that said, I hope you enjoy!

We’ve still got to play a bit of catch-up and finish the second chapter behind the stone door for every possible outcome, but I’m pushing on to the third and final chapter as well. Today, though, I thought you all might like a peek at the other black collar. One of your choices turned things a little less grim, so this is a pretty dramatic contrast from how the other black collar is looking at this point. I hope it looks like an interesting opening to you all :3

Sometimes I forget just how many stories I’ve got “waiting.” I’ll get an idea, and I’ll develop it until I feel like I’ve got enough to go on, and I’ll start writing… but something will happen, and I’ll stop. Maybe I’ll hit a point in the story where I just don’t know how to continue, or some other, much more interesting idea will steal my attention, or maybe I’ll just fall into one of my phases where I don’t write. Well, hopefully that last is mostly behind me, at least.

But every once in a while I suddenly realize I’ve got an old story waiting for me. I hope to come back to them sooner or later, but for now, it doesn’t hurt to share what I’ve got. Today, I’m going to share the opening to a chapter of my Amante Senz’anima story series, which you can find on SoFurry easily and on FurAffinity with a bit of following links in the descriptions. Preview: Through the hole

I’ve got a lot of projects on tap these days, keep some variety going for when I get tired of writing on one subject or another. Further, I’ve published a few stories on Kindle, but so far all I’ve got is stuff that I had published publicly before, then withdrew, edited and polished, and offered up for sale. It’s turned out fairly well, but it’s certainly true that I’d like to offer up a “proper” story for sale. To that end, I’ve been working on something a little different.

I always find my idea of “vanilla” kind of amusing. Whenever I try to make a concept “normal” in one way, it tends to get a little strange in another. I’m pretty interested to see how this story turns out, both in my writing it and in how it’ll be received. My only regret is that this means it’ll be one of my least-read stories, theoretically, and perhaps one I get the least feedback on. But we’ll just have to see how it goes, I suppose!

For now, I’d like to offer up a snippet near the beginning for your consideration. Hope you all enjoy! And yes, it’s Not Safe For Work. 18+ Only! Continue reading

Forging on

I’ve been pushing myself to get the next update ready for MVOL, and I think today I’ll give you all a sneak peek at my most recent work! It’s been odd coming back to some of these, with how terribly long it’s been, I’m worried the mood and feel of the work might shift overmuch simply for not having the same thoughts in mind as I push each route forward. The episodic nature of each trip through the door being a separate event might help a little, but it’s inevitable a lot of players will just play it straight through in one go, so it’s important that it flows fairly smoothly. I’ll be working more on refining that, and of course, this is all raw and unproofed, so it’s gonna look different from the final product, possibly in a few ways!

With all that in mind, I hope you all enjoy your first little sneak peek at finally returning to the stone door :3 Continue reading

Having fun

Sometimes my productivity feels very cyclical. I have my ups, then my downs, with some common forces involved in each. Part of my process of climbing up has been learning or re-learning certain lessons that I let fall by the wayside in my struggle to do certain other things I might have considered more important than they actually were.

Today, I have the product of another lesson I’ve had to relearn: Have fun. Continue reading

Crossed wires

Hey, folks! Covering a couple things today, and rounding it off with another snippet from the upcoming TagIt Story! First off, if you thought I screwed up and missed Friday’s post, well, you’re half right: I did screw up. Well, really, WordPress derped, but I think I helped. I wrote up the post for Friday on Thursday, actually, and I entered it in WP’s system, scheduled to publish on Friday. But then I found out that I wanted to delay the post to later in the day, so I opened WP on my phone and went to the post and… well, I tried to schedule it for late Friday, but I think the button said “publish” instead of “schedule” even with the scheduling stuff all set, and I just hoped for the best.

Now, if I’d just published the post a little early accidentally instead of pushing it off to later, that wouldn’t be too bad. And technically, that’s what I did. But SOMEhow, somewhere between the phone client and the scheduling shenanigans… it decided that I’d ACTUALLY posted it on Tuesday last week! That’s right folks, I failed at blogging so hard my post has transcended time, and I’m fairly certain that if we could go back to Tuesday now, my post would somehow be there, before I’d written it. If anyone has access to a time machine, do let me know if you find out.

The first TagIt is coming along well!

It took a while to figure it all out, but I finally decided to go ahead and take the top eight tags from the inaugural “Tag It” Story experiment, which was driven by a user poll. You can see the results here! Today, I thought I’d share with you the opening to the story. It’s turned out a deal longer than I expected, and I’ll be strongly considering tightening it up before final release, but for now, consider this a rough draft opening to give you a little teaser as to what may be going on :3 I hope you enjoy!
